Science Lab
Adaptations and Habitats

Students worked with a partner to make their own GA habitat!
Everyone had so much fun with this creative lesson!

Speech and OT
On the 100th day of school students had to count out 100 Legos and build together. They then wrote about their creation and answered a feelings sheet!

Math
Division
Students used manipulatives, model drawing and touchmath to learn how to divide.
We also learned the multiples of 6 to the song Wheels on the Bus.
Students did fantastic with division!

Science
Human Body
Students traced each other and cut out their bodies so we could label our major organs!

We learned about bones and the skeletal system.

We wrote about our skeletal system and used the joints to
make our skeletons complete our favorite hobbies.

^^Reading Comic Books                               ^^ Playing with action figures

Drawing Lego City^^                                 Riding a carousel horse^^

Students colored in their bodies.

This week we read and learned about the heart and lungs.
Students cut and glued these organs in their paper bodies!

Writing
Friendly Letters
One of our students participated in Special Olympics! He traveled to North Carolina to ski!
We are all so proud of him! This week we started learning the parts on a friendly letter and our first letters were to our classmate. Letters were very sweet!

Language Arts
Grammar and Spelling
Our 3rd graders rearranged words to put them in order to create complete sentences.
Then they had to come up with the correct ending punctuation.

This week we practiced our spelling words in shaving cream!

During our OT/Speech lesson we learned how to make snow dough!
Students had to follow multiple steps, ask appropriately for ingredient
and had to explain what they were doing to make the dough.
They then wrote about what they created with their dough and some
also wrote their spelling words with the snow dough!
