Don't Forget - Picture Day is Tuesday

Science
This week as a class we learned about the layers of the earth. We learned hand motions to remember inner core, outer core, mantel and crust. 3rd graders created earth's layers out of Play-Doh and labeled each part. This up coming week we will learn about volcanos, magma, lava and igneous rocks.

3rd graders

Our 4th/5th graders went with Mrs. Stewart's class to the science lab and learned about the different types of clouds. They used shaving cream to create cumulus clouds, cirrus clouds and stratus clouds.
Thank you Mrs. Knobbe for the awesome lesson!

ELA
This past week we learned more about adjectives and nouns. In one activity we explored our school to help us describe the places around us.This week we will be identifying if words are nouns, adjectives or verbs.

Math
We are moving onto adding this week! Students will be using touch math this year and they will learn this week where the touch points are and how to use them. Students will be adding one to three-digit numbers with and with-out regrouping.

Homework this week will be sent home in their GATOR notebook.
